# BioXP BioXP is a points system designed to reward active and aligned members of the Bio Protocol community. Users pledge BioXP to gain early access to new tokens launched on our platform via Ignition Sales. The more BioXP you pledge, the larger your potential allocation. ## How to Earn BioXP There are two ways to earn BioXP: 1. Staking `BIO` (which generates `veBIO`) 2. Staking ecosystem assets such as IP Tokens, BioAgent tokens and BioDAO tokens BioXP earned from staking `BIO` is distributed **automatically each day**, while BioXP from staking ecosystem assets must be **manually claimed each day** otherwise they expire the next day. ## Using BioXP in Launches The primary utility of BioXP is to secure an allocation in a project's [Ignition Sale](https://docs.bio.xyz/bio/introduction/launcher#the-ignition-sale). * **Pledge to Participate (optional):** You can optionally pledge BioXP to participate in a launch. No minimum BioXP required. * **Pro-Rata Allocation:** Your final allocation is determined by the percentage of the total pledged BioXP that you contributed. The more points you pledge, the larger your potential allocation. If a sale is oversubscribed, higher BioXP = higher allocation priority. {% hint style="info" %} **BioXP points expire 14 days after they are issued**. This encourages active and ongoing participation in the ecosystem and prevents concentration of BioXP in the hands of a few. {% endhint %} ## Level Multipliers From BIO Staking The more `BIO` you stake and the longer you lock it, the more you stand to earn from staking ecosystem tokens (e.g., IP Tokens, BioAgent tokens and BioDAO tokens). There are 7 levels of multipliers that can be achieved based on your staked `BIO` (or `veBIO` holdings), each unlocking progressively higher earning power on ecosystem token staking: | Level | veBIO Required | Multiplier | Example Rate | | ----- | -------------- | ---------- | ------------ | | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 XP/$1 | | 1 | 100+ | 0.5x | 0.025 XP/$1 | | 2 | 1,000+ | 1.0x | 0.05 XP/$1 | | 3 | 5,000+ | 2.0x | 0.10 XP/$1 | | 4 | 25,000+ | 4.0x | 0.20 XP/$1 | | 5 | 50,000+ | 6.0x | 0.30 XP/$1 | | 6 | 100,000+ | 8.0x | 0.40 XP/$1 | | 7 | 500,000+ | 10.0x | 0.50 XP/$1 | {% hint style="info" %} A Level 6 user earns 20x more BioXP from ecosystem token staking compared to a Level 1 user staking the same number of ecosystem tokens. {% endhint %} ## BioXP Multipliers From Staking New Ecosystem Tokens Stakers of newly launched ecosystem tokens receive higher XP multipliers in a token's first 60 days live post TGE. The XP multiplier from staking new tokens follows the following three-phase program: #### Phase 1: Grace Period (Days 0-30) * **New Token Multiplier**: 10x * **Duration**: First 30 days after launch * **Purpose**: Maximize rewards for early supporters and bootstrap initial liquidity #### Phase 2: Decay Period (Days 31-60) * **New Token Multiplier**: 10x → 1x (linear decay) * **Duration**: Days 31-60 * **Purpose**: Smooth transition to sustainable long-term rates #### Phase 3: Post-Support (Day 61+) * **New Token Multiplier**: 1x (base rate only) * **Duration**: All days after day 60 * **Purpose**: Sustainable long-term rewards for established tokens {% hint style="info" %} After day 60, tokens lose their New Token Multiplier but maintain the Ecosystem Multiplier. {% endhint %} ## Dual XP Multipliers During a token's first 60 days, the multiplier from staking `BIO` and the multiplier from staking the new token stack together. This creates an incentive for users to maintain high `veBIO` holdings (through `BIO` staking) while actively participating in new token launches. #### Ecosystem Token Earning Formulas **New Tokens (Days 0-60) - Dual Multiplier Active:** ``` Daily BioXP = Token Value (USD) × Base Earning Rate × New Token Multiplier × Level Multiplier Where: • Token Value (USD) = Your staked token balance in dollars • Base Earning Rate • New Token Multiplier = Max (Days 0-30), then decays to Min (Days 31-60) • Level Multiplier = up to 10.0x (based on your veBIO balance) ``` **Established Tokens (Days 61+) - Level Multiplier :** ``` Daily BioXP = Token Value (USD) × Base earning Rate x Level Multiplier (Base support and Level Multiplier, but no New Token Multiplier) ``` #### Real-World Examples Let's see how Dual Multipliers work with a concrete scenario.
